The elementary school provides a structured educational setting inspired by a love of learning and a growing awareness of God in the students’ daily lives. Through our mission and core values, students are encouraged to build a strong foundation of caring for others and themselves. Skycrest Christian School rises above many private elementary schools based on our views of our students and teachers.
Academic Success
Our elementary school is the foundation for Skycrest students to grow and mature in their academic learning and spiritual walk. Skycrest has developed a curriculum that caters to the various levels to propel students towards academic and spiritual success. The elementary school teachers at Skycrest work alongside the students to mentor and help them develop thinking and study skills early on.
Essential study skills are emphasized through the following coursework: Bible, language arts (reading, handwriting, comprehension, vocabulary, pronunciations, word usage, grammar), literature, history, mathematics, and science. A chapel is held once a week. Extracurricular classes include music, physical education, STEM, technology, Spanish, library, and art. After-school enrichment programs are provided each quarter and may consist of dance, book club, and archery activities.

Our teachers readily encourage and challenge students to develop their unique gifts and talents fully. All our teachers are certified in elementary education and undergo ongoing training to remain up-to-date on current educational methods.
