Campus Life at Skycrest
At Skycrest Christian School, students play an active role in the life of our school.
It is our conviction that quality education is more than just academics – it's about the complete development of each child. With a wide range of activities, from athletics to arts to missions, we give our students the chance to discover their passions and develop their talents. We believe our K4-8 program should make an impact for eternity, not only in the classroom but in every aspect of our student's lives.
Athletics
Win or lose, athletics provide an opportunity for students to develop good sportsmanship while sharing a Christ-like attitude with everyone they encounter on the field. Our coaches are devoted to mentoring players as they develop their athletic abilities and encouraging them to share the Gospel with other student-athletes. At Skycrest, our athletics program is more than an extracurricular activity; it is an integral part of creating in our students a desire to live out their faith. We offer several athletic opportunities for boys and girls, including Soccer - Volleyball - Basketball - Baseball - Softball - Golf - Track & Field - Cheerleading.
Fine Arts
The motto of the Skycrest Christian School Fine Arts Program is Soli Deo gloria – Glory to God alone. We believe that every student has been blessed with creative gifts that allow them to bring glory to God, and our teachers are committed to helping each student uncover these talents and share them with the world. Because God uniquely gifts each student in areas of creativity, we desire to challenge and equip them to be their best for Him. Our Fine Arts program includes drama, visual art, choir, vocal ensemble, and band, with private lessons in piano and band instruments available to all students as well.
Faith & Service
Our greatest calling at Skycrest Christian School is to help every student discover a personal relationship with Christ and provide opportunities to live out their faith. Students at every grade level participate in service projects to help others in their community and worldwide, including the annual school-wide participation at Christmas for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Ranch Angel Tree. Money collected from student dress-down days goes to support the mission work of Silver Trumpet Ministries, which has outreaches in India, Africa, and Nepal.
